The Remix is a remix album by Lady Gaga. Released in Japan on March 3, 2010, it contains remixes of the songs from her first studio album, The Fame (2008), and its reissue, The Fame Monster (2009). A revised version of the track list was prepared for release in additional markets, beginning with Mexico on May 4, 2010. Remixers on the album include Pet Shop Boys, Passion Pit and The Sound of Arrows. The compilation sold around half a million copies worldwide and 141,000 copies in the United States alone. It is the tenth best-selling remix compilation sold worldwide ever, tied with Nine Inch Nails' Further Down The Spiral. [1][2]
Track lists and editions
For this release, two main editions were introduced:
Japanese edition
The Japanese edition was the first to be released and features a unique track list. It comprises:
- Two remixes for each of the five singles from The Fame in chronological order.
- Three remixes for each of the two singles from The Fame Monster—"Bad Romance" and "Telephone," which were available at the time of release.
- The seven (4 with the US) remixes shared between the two editions are highlighted in yellow.

International revised version
United States, United Kingdom and Asia alternative 'clean' cover.
The International revised edition featured a different track list and was issued with either the original cover or the 'clean' version using a 2009 photograph by Max Abadian. An exception was made for Taiwan and Hong Kong, where both artwork versions were released. Notably, all editions—except the Japanese and US versions—contained a typo on the track list, where track 15, "Poker Face," was printed as "Pokerface."
The revised edition followed a chronological track list structure:
- The five singles from The Fame.
- Eh, Eh remix is shortened as "FrankMuzik" on the CD release while it's "Frankmusik "Cut Snare Edit" Remix" on Digital download and streaming.
- Two new remixes of "Boys Boys Boys" and "The Fame".
- The remix for "The Fame" is shortened as "Glam As You Remix" on the CD release while it's "Glam As You Remix - Radio Edit Version" on Digital download and streaming.
- The two singles from The Fame Monster, which were available at the time of release.
- Two new remixes of "Alejandro" and "Dance in the Dark".
- An additional remix of each of the six singles from The Fame (excluding "Paparazzi"). The Cherrytree Sessions live version of "Poker Face" replaced its remix to complete the 17 tracks on this album.
Based on the revised edition, two shortened versions were also released:
- The 14-track Chinese edition omitted both "Bad Romance" remixes and "Dance in the Dark."
- The 10-track US edition excluded the final six songs and highlighted in yellow "Boys Boys Boys" (Manhattan Clique Remix).
