The Album Chart Show showcases the biggest and best album releases from the UK Top 100 Album Chart and also gives up-and-coming talent a chance to make their mark on a 1000 strong audience by performing live. The show is produced by 3DD Productions recorded in front of a live audience in London’s flamboyant, stylish and historic musicvenue KOKO club (previously Camden Palace) in Camden, London. The series is shot in HD and combines exceptionallive performances from some of the world’s greatest music artists with exclusive interviews.

The show began on 4 March 2006. It is shown on a Friday night on Channel 4 at around midnight and also on 4Music at 20:00 BST. The first two series were presented by Joe Mace, whilst the third series will be presented by Sara Cox. Production television facilities for the programme are provided by NEP Visions high definition units. Lighting services are provided by Television lighting specialists Panalux. Performances from the show are sold abroad as London Live.

The performance was scheduled on February 2 but due to heavy snow, Lady Gaga was stuck in Ireland. Gaga performed five songs of her debut album, The Fame.
