"Text You Pictures" is an unreleased song written in mid 2008 by Lady Gaga and Fernando Garibay, shortly after she had completed work on her debut album The Fame.
Background
The song was written shortly after Gaga had completed her debut album The Fame, in mid 2008. After writing "Quicksand" and "No Way", Gaga and Fernando continued to work on new material.
Fernando opened up about the song in November 2022 on The Original Doll podcast, where he revealed it was once considered for The Fame Monster, but was scrapped; “I think we considered it would be on the next album, but sounds evolve and she was onto a different thing.”[1]
Lyrically, the song is about sending dirty pictures to a significant other. The melody of the bridge was reworked from "No Way". Neither were officially released.
The song was available on UnreleasedSounds.gg on December 3rd, 2021 for $2,500.
The song leaked in full on December 19th, 2021.
