"@ladygaga YESSS!!!! BACON!!!!!!! I need a #Temple of bacon!!!!"

Gaga announced the title on September 20, 2013. After the announcement, a fan asked her if "Temple" had religious connotations, in which she answered:

"No, but it's about feeling safe with someone so beautiful on the inside and out."
"The song is about him being able to love somebody who has a fast pace life, and is always on the road."

Zedd talked about this track and "Onion Girl", and said that the track was never finished.
