Samy "Slam" Djerbi is a French photographer based in NYC; specializing in beauty, music, and fashion. Slam’s photography debut in the early 1990s and at just 20 years old, he received the “Major Book” Award by Ilford Photo (this recognition catapulted his career and enabled him to conduct fashion/beauty shoots for both French and international publications, such as: Vogue, Madame Figaro, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, Hola, FHM, Diva, Men’s Health, Esquire, Gala, Faces, Glamour, Paris Match, Apollo, Grazia, Tribu Move, etc). Slam collaborated with the HAUS OF GAGA on the staging of Lady Gaga’s French TV appearances as Taratata (France Télévision), Le Grand Journal (Canal+), and more.

In preparation for the photo session, Slam usually conceive a theme for his photo shoots. For this one, he was inspired by circus and cabaret. He called his concept "Le Cabaret de Gaga" which in French means "Gaga's Cabaret". The font used to write the title was inspired by the musical film "Cabaret" starring Liza Minelli.
