Opening Act is an American reality-talent show on E!. The series ran from July 9th to September 4th, 2012, with a a total of 8 episodes and 1 season.

Premise[]

The series gives contestants, who are singers found via the internet, five days to prepare an opening act for a popular musical performer.

September 4, 2012[]

Lady Gaga appeared in the eighth and last episode of the reality, called "Von & Lady Gaga" . The episode was aired on September 4th, but it was filmed on June 14th, 2012 in Brisbane, Australia.

The contestant that was featured in this episode was Von Smith. For his opening act, he sang "Hopeless", a song produced by Rock Mafia for him, and "Halo", a song by Beyoncé. After the show, Von and Gaga met backstage.
