The Lady Gaga Official Website, located at www.ladygaga.com', is the primary online platform for Lady Gaga. The site officially launched on March 14, 2008, coinciding with the Just Dance Promo Tour and in April, the release of her debut single, "Just Dance". Around August of 2008, the website expanded to include a merchandise section, offering fans access to official merchandise online. Previously, Gaga’s merchandise had been available exclusively at live show venues.
The website has since evolved into a central hub for news, tour updates, music releases, videos, and exclusive content, serving as a key component of Gaga’s global presence and connection with her fanbase, known as the Little Monsters.
Background
Prior to the launch of the official site, Gaga maintained a presence on the internet through her early website StefaniMusic in 2005, which showcased her pre-fame work and musical experiments. In 2007, she transitioned to using her MySpace page as her main promotional outlet, reflecting the social media trends of the time and allowing for direct fan engagement.
