New Material is the Stefani's first official mixtape. It was uploaded on PureVolume on October 6, 2006. The lyrics were written by Lady Gaga and Rob Fusari (he is also the producer of the record). On August 4, 2007, she played several of the songs from the mixtape at Lollapalooza.

The mixtape did not have an official physical release. None of the songs from the it have been released as singles, or have been promoted, although Fever was later given to Adam Lambert and was released on his debut album.
