The MAYHEM era refers to the album cycle for MAYHEM. The album was released on March 7th, 2025. The era began in October 2024 when Gaga announced and released it's lead single "Disease".
Around 2024, Gaga shared via her social media where she was working on new music, but it wasn't until May 25, 2024 where a snippet of a then unknown song (Shadow of a Man) was included at the end of the concert film "Gaga Chromatica Ball" with a text that says: "LG7 Gaga returns", announcing new music was in the works. On July 28th, 2024, in Paris around the days the 2024 Olympics took place, Gaga played to her fans two snippets of two songs from LG7 outside of the hotel she was staying, which were "Abracadabra" and "Perfect Celebrity".
