Karl Lagerfeld (born Karl Otto Lagerfeld on September 10, 1933 in Hamburg — February 19, 2019 in Paris) was a German fashion designer and photographer based in Paris. He has collaborated on a variety of fashion and art related projects, most notably as head designer and creative director for the fashion house Chanel. Lagerfeld has his own label fashion house (featured on this page), as well as the Italian house Fendi. Too was CEO for Chloé, Balmain, Jean Patou, and H&M.

He was interviewed on "Le Grand Journal" in 2011 along with Lady Gaga with whom he took pictures on his gold and white iPad which he gave to her. Karl Lagerfeld designed a custom dress for Lady Gaga in 2011 under the Chanel fashion house name.
