We defined the term "album era" as a time period of indeterminate length, generally more than one year, where one album is promoted by Lady Gaga. The Jazz eras are not to be confused with the main 'pop' eras, see.
The Jazz era is an all-inclusive term for any occasion where Lady Gaga performs jazz.
Early years
In 2003, Gaga recorded a music demo as part of her application to Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP21), a professional musical theatre training conservatory. She recorded three Jazz standards including Someone to Watch Over Me and Orange Colored Sky. Joe Vulpis recorded the piano while Tony Di Lullo recorded the vocals.
On June 16, 2010, Gaga performed "Someone to Watch Over Me" with Brian Newman. They also performed the song live at the Toyota Concert Series on Today on July 9, 2010. On September 29, 2010, Gaga performed the song again along with "Orange Colored Sky" and "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye".
A live performance of "Orange Colored Sky" was shown during the thanksgiving television special A Very Gaga Thanksgiving on November 24, 2011 and also released on A Very Gaga Holiday, a digital-only EP on November 22, 2011.
