Gene Grimaldi is a mastering engineer at Oasis Mastering. He grew up in Bristol, Pennsylvania, where his interest in high-end audio and love for all types of music eventually led him to study at The Institute Of Audio Research in New York City.

After interning at recording studios in New York City and working as a live sound engineer in nightclubs and casinos around Philadelphia and New Jersey, Gene’s life took a fortuitous turn. In 1986, he started working at the CBS Records/Sony Music manufacturing facility in Pitman, New Jersey where he learned all aspects of the vinyl and compact disc manufacturing processes and found his calling as a mastering engineer.

In 1991, Gene moved to Los Angeles to work at Future Disc Systems as a production engineer, and after five years joined Oasis Mastering as a full time mastering engineer in 1996, where he is employed today. Vincent Herbert picked Gene as the mastering engineer for Lady Gaga after working with him on other projects before. His last project with her was ARTPOP in 2013.
