Background
“Garden Of Eden” marks inspiration from the biblical Garden of Eden, using references like “poisoned apple”. In the lyrics, Gaga’s character can be seen as the serpent, a cunning creature that tempts Eve into eating the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. The song also partially uses a revamped version of an old unreleased song’s instrumental.
In June 2024, a snippet of Garden of Eden was leaked and posted on YouTube which was taken down by Universal Music Group. The song title was officially mentioned in the takedown letter as "Garden of Eden".[1]
