Area is an American luxury brand founded by designers Piotrek Panszczyk and Beckett Fogg in downtown New York City in 2014. Beckett, originally from Lexington, Kentucky, completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Virginia, where she studied Architectural Design with a concentration in Multi-disciplinary studies. Piotrek was born in Poland and raised in Holland, where he studied Fashion Design at the Artez Institute of the Arts, before working at Chloe in Paris. The designers met while pursuing their Masters in Fashion Design and Society at Parsons. Beckett went on to work at Calvin Klein Collection, and the designers then joined to begin work on area in 2013.
