Lüc Carl (born December 5, 1980) is a night club manager, promoter, musician, DJ, author, bartender, certified personal trainer, and semi-pro bowler from Springfield, Nebraska. He currently lives in New York City, and works at two bars, St. Jerome's, and Welcome to the Johnsons.
Relation with Lady Gaga
He first began dating Lady Gaga in 2005 and is the source of inspiration for many songs written during that time. Their split occurred when Gaga hit fame. In 2010, several magazines and newspapers reported that the two had gotten back together and featured pictures showing Gaga buying flowers for Carl, and them kissing. But though it is widely known that Gaga and Carl are in a relationship, she has never become public about it and has said in many interviews that she does not have a boyfriend because she is too busy working and touring.
After Gaga claimed in an interview with Graham Norton in May 2011 that she didn't have a boyfriend nor had been on dates recently, it was thought that she and Carl had broken up, but even though she has never confirmed if they are together or not, in an interview with David Letterman she didn't answer his question about a possible boyfriend, changing the subject.
