Dom Pérignon (French pronunciation: [dɔ̃peʁiɲɔ̃]; / ˌdɒmpɛrɪˈnjɒn / in English) is a brand of champagne, produced by Moët & Chandon. It was named Dom Pérignon in honor of Pierre Pérignon, a Benedictine monk who discovered how sparkling wines were created.
Dom Pérignon x Lady Gaga Campaign
Chapter 1
The two met in late 2019 for a partnership that was aimed to be launched on May 20, 2020. The plan was probably pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On April 20, 2020, Nick Knight confirmed that he shot a project with Gaga and that he was working on the post-production. At that time, he mentioned that the project could be released in the fall of 2020.
On March 31, 2021, the campaign was announced using a photograph by Nick Knight along with an announcement video featuring a short speech by Gaga. It was also revealed that a film would be released on April 6, 2021. Over the next two years they will announce further exciting outcomes of their collaboration.
An object of design and desire, Lady Gaga has created in collaboration with Nicola Formichetti an enthralling sculpture with a magnetic dress that enrobes a majestic jeroboam of Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2005. Produced in just 110 exclusive pieces, it will be sold in private sales and showcased at flagship Dom Pérignon locations. All Dom Pérignon’s profits from the sale of this uberpiece will be given to Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.
