"Chromatica II" is an interlude by Lady Gaga from her sixth studio album, Chromatica. It serves as the second interlude score from the album, and leads directly into the next track, "911". The piece was written and produced by Gaga and Morgan Kibby.
An alternate version of the interlude was a part of a medley performed during 2020 MTV Video Music Awards performance along with "911", "Rain On Me" and "Stupid Love".
Background
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Morgan Kibby revealed that "Chromatica II" was the final piece that was composed, and that it was clear to Gaga that it should fall right before "911", an already complete track. She also mentioned how it was one of her favorite moments with Gaga personally —
The reaction Morgan refered to is a series of memes based on the reaction to the transition between "Chromatica II" to "911". The transition also inspired a series of remix videos, timing the song transition to sync with scenes in film, television and other videos.

I felt life was asking the impossible of me, which I think I'm not alone in feeling. So I was scared, but I believe in magic. So, I wrote this interlude as a reminder that my magic was working. I believe that means yours is too. | ” |
