Brookhaven Calabro Airport was the location of the 2008 edition of Metro NY Balloon & Music Festival. The festival was held on August 8, 9 and 10, 2008. On the Friday night, radio WBON hosted La Fiesta Festoon and on the Saturday, Party 105.3 FM and 101.5 FM hosted The Mega Jam where Lady Gaga performed.

The Party 105.3 FM and 101.5 FM Tenth Anniversary Mega Jam featured over 25 pop and dance artists including Naughty by Nature, Pitbull, Michelle Williams (of Destiny's Child), Frankie J, La Bouche, Colby O'Donis, George LaMond, Lumidee, Nina Sky, Reina, Sylver Logan Sharp, Veronica, Kim Sozzi, Lucas Prata, Noel, Ian Van Dahl, LMFAO, Denise Rviera, NGP, Fawni, Ercola featuring Daniella, Ercola featuring Jeremy and Anane.

- During "Just Dance", Lady Gaga accidentally hit Dina, a back-up dancer, in the mouth with her microphone.
- Though no serious damage was caused, Dina's mouth bled noticeably throughout the rest of the performance and required stitches.
