"Babylon" is a song by Lady Gaga from her sixth studio album, Chromatica. The track was written by Gaga, Michael Tucker and Matthew Burns, and produced by BloodPop® and Burns with additional production by Tchami.
Background
On July 9, 2019, Haus Laboratories released their first commercial Our Haus, Your Rules which included an instrumental of "Babylon". On May 28, 2020, BloodPop® corrected a fan who thought that this version of "Babylon" was only produced by Tchami:
During HANA's Twitch livestream on May 28, 2020, BloodPop® confirmed that the Haus Labs version would be released. He confirmed it again to Entertainment Weekly on June 12, 2020 ("The Haus Labs mix of 'Babylon' will be released, so don't stress"). On August 6, 2020, fans discovered that using Shazam on the Haus Labs commercials would recognize it as "Babylon" (Early Version). That version was registered on BMI under the title "Babylon" (Original Haus Labs Version) on January 26, 2021. The version of the song is included in the remix album Dawn of Chromatica, released on September 3rd, 2021.

“ | This is the dance celebration of the culmination of this album, but it's really the start that occurs after every finish. When we've completed a task or defeated a challenge, the end is not the end. This is a new journey, and in Chromatica I will dance my way through all the pain, and every transition I make is into a new me, which is consistently a miracle. I wow to always have something to celebrate. And frankly gossip is the hallmark of civilization. Two people can't talk behind each other's backs, you need at least three people. And something that used to haunt me — gossip — is now a silly construct I can dance through. Babble on. I'll be in Babylon. Or Chromatica. | ” |
Lyrics
We only have the weekend
You can serve it to me, ancient-city style
We can party like it's B.C.
With a pretty sixteenth-century smile
It's the thing that you bring
That you bring, that you bring
Him, you and me
That's gossip
Strut it out, walk a mile
Serve it, ancient-city style
Talk it out, babble on
Battle for your life, Babylon
That's gossip, what you on?
Money don't talk, rip that song
Gossip, babble on
Battle for your life, Babylon
Ba-Ba-Babylon
Gossip, gossip
Ba-Ba-Babylon (Battle for your life)
Gossip, gossip
Ba-Ba-Babylon
Gossip, gossip
Ba-Ba-Babylon
Body's moving like a sculpture (Ooh)
On the top of Tower of Babel tonight
We are climbing up to Heaven (Heaven)
Speaking languages in a BloodPop® moonlight
It's the thing that you bring
That you bring, that you bring
Him, you, and me
That's gossip (That's gossip)
Strut it out, walk a mile
Serve it, ancient-city style
Talk it out, babble on
Battle for your life, Babylon
That's gossip, what you on?
Money don't talk, rip that song
Gossip, babble on
Battle for your life, Babylon
Ba-Ba-Babylon
Gossip, gossip
Ba-Ba-Babylon (Battle for your life)
Gossip, gossip
Ba-Ba-Babylon
Gossip, gossip
Ba-Ba-Babylon
Battle for your life, Babylon
Strut it out, walk a mile
Serve it, ancient-city style
Talk it out, babble on
Battle for your life, Babylon
That's gossip, what you on?
Money don't talk, rip that song
Gossip, babble on
Battle for your life, Babylon
Strut it out, walk a mile
Serve it, ancient-city style
Talk it out, babble on
Battle for your life, Babylon
That's gossip, what you on?
Money don't talk, rip that song
Gossip, babble on
Battle for your life, Babylon
