Work with Lady Gaga

Designed by Marla Weinhoff

Throne

For Gaga’s performance at Robin Hood Gala, Atta build a 9’ tall resin and acrylic throne. The throne is comprised of multiple hand cast colored and textured panels that were integrated into an acrylic framework.

Unicorn piano

Atta created custom life-size fiberglass unicorn for Gaga’s Good Morning America performance in Central Park. The unicorn featured a transparent purple resin spire and tufted main and tail. An inset shelf housed Gaga's keyboard while an internal steel armature provided the necessary support for the performance piece.

Chrysalis

Atta created chrysalis for Gaga’s 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards performance. The chrysalis was suspended between two cantilevered fiberglass "branches" supported by an internal steel structure. The chrysalis also featured a wafer-thin "break away" panel that was kicked out by Lady Gaga during her performance.

Fame bottle carriage

For her FAME perfume launch, Atta recreated perfume bottle on a monumental scale. A smoky black resin was used to make the bottle and the metallic "claw" bottle top was sculpted by hand, cast in fiberglass and painted gold. The bottle carriage also had a cushioned seat and was mounted to a horse-drawn carriage bed.

Spaceship piano

For the performance at White House with Tony Bennett, Atta created custom fiberglass spaceship piano. The piece is 18’ long and 13’ wide and finished in a high gloss automotive clear coat.

Applause hands

As part of stage set created by Robert Wilson for "Applause" performance at 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, Atta created two 4’ high stylized hands. The pieces were hand-sculpted in clay and cast in fiberglass with a high gloss automotive finish.
