Hello everyone! I'm new here, and it's nice to see everyone already! I've been a fan of Lady Gaga ever since 2016, and I still listen to her to this day! I'm glad many other people enjoy her music too! And yes, I'm also a Crybaby/Cherub! Anyways, I hope to make friends with you all! <3

I know y'all are probably tired of Onion Girl and all the other APPTII tracks being brought up, but, I've done some serious thinking about Onion Girl.
Onion Girl is a song with multiple layers and meanings, like an onion.
The only lyrics we actually have are "I'm just an Onion Girl at heartYou can't pull a tear or peel me apart". In that sentence alone, there's plenty to unpack. You can't necessarily point out if tear is Tear (like what comes out of your eyes) or if it's Tear (to rip). Either way, it makes plenty of sense. Onion Girl is a Girl who you can't jut pull apart because she has too many layers. she's complicated and deep. She also can make you cry if you "cut" her. "Cut" Does Not necessarily actually cutting something, it can mean hurting or damaging someone and possibly even opening past wounds. The line "You can't pull a tear or peel me apart" could also mean she finally fights back, won't take his shit no longer after he had treated her so wrong for so long.
the actual novel "The Onion Girl" by Charles De Lint is about a girl named Jilly. Jilly is struck by a car and becomes paralyzed on her right side. She discovers she can dream herself to the spirit world like her friend Sophie has long known how to do. Her physical body remains in the hospital bed while a dream version of herself, young and not paralyzed, traverses the spirit world.
The undertone of the novel it's self is about the peeling back of layers of one's self, opening yourself up to the past and conceptualizing time. (at least, I think so).
The overall meaning to the song could be a combination of the two ideas previously discussed. Gaga had learned to dream off into the fantasy spirit world when he treats her the way he does. She would have her head somewhere else when he would lash out and she would internalize all the nasty shit he said and dealt with it. Then, she finally fought back.
it could also not even be about a man tbh. The whole song could also be about the media.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if all of the ideas here were all the bases for the song's concept
My last poll had a mistake in it,
When you see 'Stupid Love'
Refer to it as 'Rain On Me'

Do you think Gaga will ever release ARTPOP: Act II or any of the music that reportedly could make up the several volumes of ARTPOP?
When would you guess an Act II would be likely to be released?
I think Chromatica is her best album but worse era because she didn't realesed any single in the last 5 months and 911 was not a single. It's just music video or warning
